Parsi Dishes
Khara Papeta

Ingredients:

250 gms potatoes peeled cubed into small pieces
2 tbsp Oil
2 sliced Onion
1 large chopped Tomato
1/2 tsp cummin seed
1 green chilli
4 cloves garlic chopped finely
1" piece ginger chopped finely
Salt as per taste
Coriander leaves

Method:

  1. Heat oil and fry the onions until golden.
  2. Add cummin seed and the chopped ingredients and saute for a minute.
  3. Add potatoes and salt and saute for two minutes.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on a low flame until potatoes are cooked
  5. Let the water dry completely
  6. Mix in the tomato and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
